When most Americans think of a pilgrim they tend to imagine a man wearing a buckle hat with a blunderbuss musket over one shoulder and a turkey over the other. However quaint this popular image is, the real definition of a pilgrim is simply someone on a journey. The American colonist were travelers to a new land and hence “pilgrims”.

In 1678 John Bunyan published a Christian allegory called “Pilgrim’s Progress”. Since that time the word “pilgrim” has included the connotation of a spiritual journey. It is in this context that Pilgrim’s Way Baptist Church has been established. We are people on the journey of the way, which is Jesus Christ. You are invited to join us on our Pilgrim’s Way.
